Instructions
Step 1
Julienne carrots and green onion. Put green onion in iced water to make it curl. Chop more green onion, ginger and garlic.
Step 2
Marinade with salt, white pepper, five spice, soy sauce and cooking wine. Mix to incorporate. Add egg white and mix. Add starch and mix. Finally add sesame oil.
Step 3
Mix sauce and sugar. Add 3 tbp of water. Prepare water starch.
Step 4
Prepare scallion pancakes or any wrappers if using.
Step 5
Heat generous amount of oil in pan on medium high. When feeling a bit hot (150C) put meat in and fry until all turn white. Take out.
Step 6
Fry green onion, ginger and garlic on medium. Put meat back in pan and sauce. Reduce on medium high. Put in water starch at the end gradually until sauce thicken and coat meat. Serve with vegetable sides and pancakes.
