Onion and potato Turkish soup

Instructions

Step 1
Heat pan and add butter and oil
Step 2
While pan is heating and half and slice onion and add to pan
Step 3
Regularly stir onions until they begin to caramelize
Step 4
Add tomato pure and spices to onions
Step 5
Mix together and heat for a further 2 minutes

Add garlic, ginger and chilli and cook for 1 minute

Add hot water
Step 8
Add stock pot
Step 9
Chop potato into bite size pieces and add to soup
Step 10
Stirs together and leave to simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender but not mushy
Step 11
Once the potatoes are cooked. Serve and enjoy
