can of chipotle peppers in adobo

orange

½ cupsorange juice

8 clovesgarlic

1 ½ Tbsptajin
or chili powder

lime juice

Instructions
Step 1
Remove seeds from 4 chipotle peppers, mince
Make Marinade
Step 2
Grate or mince garlic into bowl
Step 3
Add zest of orange, minced chipotles, adobo sauce from can, orange juice, tajin, honey, 2 tbsp of olive oil, and salt to the bowl
Step 4
Divide marinade in half, reserve one portion for basting
Chicken
Step 5
Salt chicken thighs and add to adobo marinade. Marinade for minimum 30 minutes, max 4 hours
Step 6
Grill chicken thighs on high heat until charred through, 5-6 minutes
Step 7
Continually use reserved marinade to baste chicken thighs while grilling. (Also leave some leftover to drizzle over chicken before serving)
Step 8
Top with chopped cilantro to serve
