Crispy Tofu Stir Fry
6 steps
Prep:30minCook:15min
This is a quick and easy stir fry that can be made in a Ninja Foodi or Instant Pot. If you use Nasoya Super Firm Tofu, you'll have great texture and not need to press it. If you use extra-firm packed in water, press for 15 - 30 minutes. For ginger paste, you can substitute 1 TBSP of finely minced ginger for each teaspoon of ginger paste. You can reduce fat by using canola oil in place of olive oil. (Note: Not my photo, but it looked like that! :)

Instructions
Step 1
Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces and transfer to a bowl.
Step 2
Combine 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce, the toasted sesame oil, olive oil and 1 clove of minced garlic in a small bowl. Drizzle over tofu and toss to coat. Let tofu marinate for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Preheat your Foodi or Instant Pot to 400°F. If you're using the Foodi, place the reversible rack in the high position and spread the tofu on it in a single layer with space between each piece. If you have an instant pot, use the air fryer basket with the air fryer base and place tofu in the basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, turning or giving a shake half way through.
Step 4
While the tofu is cooking, assemble the sauce. Combine hoisin sauce, 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 4 cloves minced garlic, ginger paste, rice vinegar and water in a bowl and mix to combine. At this point, you can steam the broccoli for 2-3 minutes if you prefer.
Step 5
Place tofu aside and remove the rack/basket. Add broccoli to the pot and use saute/stovetop setting. Stir broccoli allowing it to get that happy stir-fried look. Add the sauce and crispy tofu. Stir to combine and saute until heated through.
Step 6
Serve over rice, noodles, or enjoy by itself! Optional: sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onion, or cilantro.
