Copycat Cava Pita Chips
8 steps
Prep:15minCook:15min
My favorite thing to get at Cava is their crispy pita chips! They are truly unlike any other pita chip you buy at the store in a bag. They are super crispy on the outside but thick and fluffy on the inside and I think this recipe turns out exactly like Cava's, if not better!

Instructions
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, salt, lemon pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to make the spice mix. Set aside.
Step 2
Cut each pita into 8 triangles or pieces.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan so it's hot, around 325 to 350°F.
Step 4
Fry the pita in batches so they're not overcrowded.
Step 5
Once golden and crispy, remove the chips from the oil and transfer them to a wire rack to drain excess oil. Do not fry too much because you want it to be soft in the center but crispy on the edges just like Cava.
Step 6
Once all the bread is fried, transfer the pita chips to a bowl and add as much seasoning as you like.
Step 7
Shake around to toss it so all the chips are evenly seasoned.
Step 8
Serve with hummus or your favorite dip to enjoy!
