Step 1
Peel and cut potatoes into even pieces. Boil water then add salt and potatoes. Cook until fork tender and then drain it. Return potatoes back into pot and roughly mash them. In a saucepan, heat up milk, heavy cream and smashed garlic. Let it come to slight boil and turn off the heat. Add butter to mashed potatoes and half of the cream mixture. Mix together and then add the other half of the milk mixture. Season salt and garlic powder then use a hand mixer to cream it altogether. When serving, top with some melted butter, black pepper and top with some green onions.
