Garlic Chili Oil Tofu Noodles

Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup of the starchy water.
Step 2
Add sesame oil to a frying pan and heat to medium-high. Add cabbage and cook until softened. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, add sesame oil and tofu. Cook until golden on all sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 4
In the same pan, add oil, garlic, the white part of the green onion, red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds. Toast until the garlic is golden, and the green onion is crispy. Add the chili powder and stir for a minute. Pour in the reserved pasta water and gently stir.
Step 5
Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, add the chicken broth powder, soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil and brown sugar. Mix well.
Step 6
Add the noodles, tofu, cabbage and sauce to chilli oil. Mix well, ensuring the noodles, tofu and cabbage are fully coated. Top with the green parts of the green onion and serve.
