I love a good puff pastry hack ! Hi his recipe has all the crunch and flavor of a Chinese scallion pancake but without all the fuss of making the dough waiting and rolling it out

Step 1
Heat neutral oil of choice until little bubbles start to rise to the surface then add it to the bowl
Of chopped scallions ( reserve the green tops and only heat the light parts ) now add flour whisk until a slurry is made and season with salt white pepper and sesame oil

Step 2
Roll out store bought puff pastry then cover in the slurry add the green reserved tips then roll lengthwise and seal the edge . Now roll cut in half and roll each half into a snail type shape then flatten with your hand roll out dough thin and add to a pan on medium heat brushed with a little oil

Step 3
Cook the puff pastry pancake covered with a lid on medium heat flipping until both sides are golden and crispy and it has puffed up ! Serve with chili oil and enjoy
