Sourdough Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Biscuits

1 cflour

1 tsalt

2 tbaking powder

¾ tgarlic powder

0.67 Ccheddar cheese
shredded

½ tfresh chives
chopped

½ tfresh parsley
chopped

0.5 Cbutter
cold, cubed

1 Csourdough discard

2 tmilk
Herb Butter
Instructions
Step 1
Mix together all of the herb butter ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl add the flour, salt, baking powder and garlic powder. Stir, then add the cheese and fresh herbs.
Step 3
Next add the cold butter and crumble it into the dry ingredients until it resembles wet sand (there may be some bigger pieces of butter, that’s ok).
Step 4
Add the liquid ingredients and mix until just combined.
Step 5
Flatten on a floured surface into a 1 inch thick dish and cut your biscuits into 6-8 pieces.
Step 6
Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7
Brush immediately with the melted butter mixture and serve.
