Spiced Beef Patties with Crushed Pea Salad

Instructions

Step 1
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the cumin, chilli and onion and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until onion is golden. Remove from pan and set aside. Place the breadcrumbs in a bowl, pour over the milk and stand until the milk has absorbed. Place the mince, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and onion in a bowl and mix well to combine. Shape the mixture into 16 small 1cm thick patties. Heat a little oil in the frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties, in batches, for 2-3 minutes each side or until cooked through.
Step 2
To make the crushed pea salad, cover the peas with boiling water for 2 minutes, drain and roughly mash with a fork. Combine the with the mint, lemon, oil, salt and pepper. Divide the patties between plates and serve with labne, flat bread and the pea salad.
