Ingredients

Beef sirloin
thinly sliced
2 tablespoonsolive oil
1onion
finely chopped
2cloves garlic
minced
8 ozmushrooms
sliced
2 cupsbeef broth
2 tablespoonsworcestershire sauce
1 cupsour cream
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
¼ cupall-purpose flour
¼ cupwater
2 tablespoonsfresh parsley
chopped, for garnish
egg noodles
Lemon wedges
for serving, optional
Instructions
Step 1
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2
In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their juices and start to brown, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
In a small bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and water until smooth. Stir the flour mixture into the skillet to thicken the sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6
Stir in sour cream and fresh parsley. Adjust seasoning if needed. Keep warm while preparing egg noodles.
Step 7
Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 8
Serve Beef Stroganoff over cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
