Tips

Step 1
Preheat your waffle iron.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Pour enough batter onto the waffle iron to just cover the waffle grid.
Step 6
Close the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually for about 5 minutes, until the waffle is golden and crisp.

While the waffles are cooking, mix 1/2 cup sugar with 1 tbsp cinnamon in a shallow dish.

Once the waffles are done, brush both sides lightly with melted butter, and then dip each side into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
