Chocolate Strawberry French Toast

Using bread studded with chocolate chips for French Toast is always a good idea - adding strawberries just makes it that much better! My son's review: "Mummy, that was the best French Toast I've ever had"...worth a try, eh?!

For the French Toast

2eggs

2 tablespoonsmilk

1 teaspoongranulated sugar

¼ teaspooncinnamon

¼ teaspoonvanilla extract

1 Tablespoonsalted butter

Step 2
Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Soak the bread in the egg mixture for at least 1 minute on each side so it can absorb the liquid.
Step 3
Heat a large frying pan to a medium heat and melt the salted butter. Fry the French toast for about 2 minutes on each side. Wash and slice the strawberries while the French Toast cooks.
Step 4
Plate up the chocolate French toast, spread it with some butter and dust with powdered sugar. Pile on the strawberries, more powdered sugar and maple syrup.
