Baked Ziti with Italian Sausage is a take on Magliano’s recipe a

Baked Ziti with Italian Sausage is a take on Magliano’s recipe and it is an extremely easy, hearty, and yummy family weeknight meal. It comes together in just about 30 minutes and is absolutely delicious! 1lb Ziti pasta 4tbsp olive oil 1lb ground Italian sausage 6 garlic cloves, minced 1 cup dry white wine (I used Pinot Grigio) (or any broth, if you don’t want to cook with wine) 1-12oz can diced tomatoes 20oz your favorite jarred or fresh marinara sauce 2tbsp butter 3 basil springs, chopped 8oz mozzarella, shredded 3tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated 1. Bring a pot of salted pasta water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente (about 1-2 minutes less than what the package directions). 2. In a deep pan over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook Italian sausage until no longer pink (about 5-6 minutes). 3. Add garlic and cook for another minute. 4. Add white wine and bring to a simmer, reducing wine until it’s almost completely evaporated. 5. Add diced tomatoes, marinara sauce, butter and chopped basil. 6. Remove from heat and add cooked pasta and half of mozzarella, mixing it to blend. 7. Place in an oven-safe baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese. 8. Place underneath broiler for 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is bubble and golden brown. Enjoy!
