Instructions
Step 1
Cut pork shoulder into bite sized cubes. Salt and brown pork, remove from pan leaving the rendered fat in pan.
Step 2
Add onions to the pan and cook until it starts to become translucent. Add in garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add black pepper and allspice, cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 4
Now add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 5
Add in the pork and simmer until tender.
