No, this isn't instant ramen so don’t ask. I'm talking about the gourmet ramen that costs $15 or more for a single bowl! That's just unacceptable so I'll show you how to make homemade gourmet miso ramen for just 3 dollars that'll make all categories of ramen from fancy to instant look bad.

Instructions

Broth

Step 1
Sear and fully cook ground pork in a heavy bottomed pot

Remove pork from pot and set to side

add oil, shallots, garlic, and ginger until softened and fragrent

Add sugar, cook, and stir until dissolved

Add pork, ground sesame seeds, and miso paste and stir

Add chicken stock and optional hon dashi

Let it come to a light simmer and keep warm until ready (do not simmer or boil)

Brown Butter Corn

Step 8
Add butter, heat over medium, melt, and cook until lightly brown

Add fresh corn kernels and cook and stir until hot (don't fully cook corn in butter)

Season to taste

Soft boiled eggs

Step 11
bring saucepot to gentile boil
Step 12
Add eggs, boil for 7 minutes

Immediately place in ice bath for about 2 minutes

Peel under running water

Ramen noodles

Boil according to package instructions

Assembly

Add noodles to bowl

Top with hot broth (and ground pork from broth)

Add corn

Add sliced green onions (sliced thin and dunked in cold water)

Add sesame seeds
