My mother's Gnocchi Recipe

Instructions

Step 1
Mix egg, ricotta, onion powder, garlic powder
Step 2
Add flour 1/2 cup at a time knead dough until it just reaches the non sticky stage no more
Step 3
Spread a bit of flour on a board or counter take a small piece of dough and roll into a rope and cut to about 1" piece place on cookie sheet with parchment paper
Step 4
Continue until all dough is used
Step 5
Using a screen sieve dust gnocchi with flour to keep from sticking
Step 6
In a large pot bring water to a boil and add the gnocchi all atnonce (or a close as possible
Step 7
You may need to lightly stir to prevent gnocchi from sticking to bottom
Step 8
Once they all rise to the top strain and serve with your favourite pasta sauce
