Instructions
Step 1
Start cooking the spaghetti in a pot of salted water

Mince the onion
Step 3
Add the onion and garlic to a pan with the olive oil and cook until the onion is translucent, you can add more oil if needed
Step 4
Add in the tomato paste, vodka (it can be a little bit of a heavier pour than a shot), and cream...mix heartily and bring to a boil
Step 5
Add 1 tsp salt, pepper to taste and red pepper flakes to taste (I tend to be very heavy handed with the red pepper flakes). Once everything is mixed turn the heat to low.
Step 6
Once the pasta is done, save 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain it. Add pasta to sauce along with the pasta water and butter. Mix thoroughly until the sauce is evenly on the noodles.
Step 7
Add in Parmesan and mix. Serve and top with additional red pepper flakes.
