Instructions
Step 1
Put the minced meat in a bowl. Then add 1tbsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Knead all the ingredients together until they are combined well and no minced meat clings to your hands.

Put a lid or cling wrap over the bowl and refrigerate for an hour.

In the meantime, chop the onions and cube the carrots and potatoes.

Heat 2tbsp olive oil in a soup pot and sauté the chopped onion. Add the tomato paste, capsicum paste and stir for another 1 – 2 minutes.

6) Then add the tomato and stir for another 1 – 2 minutes. Add the carrot and stir for another 1 – 2 minutes. Add the water and bring to the boil on high heat. When it has boiled simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.

7) Sprinkle 1tbsp of flour onto a tray.

8) Prepare the meatballs and put them on the tray. Sprinkle the other 1tbsp of flour over the meatballs and shake the tray lightly to coat the meatballs with the flour. Refrigerate for another ½ hour.

9) Add the potatoes into the pot. Bring the water to the boil again and simmer for another 10 minutes. Bring the water to the boil again and boil for 10 minutes more. Add the meatballs into the pot. Simmer on low heat for 20 – 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
