Instructions

Step 1
Pound Pepper and Jeera with motor and pestle. If you dont have one, coarsely grid pepper and jeera for 2 pulse and keep this aside.
Step 2
Heat a pan and add oil, ghee
Step 3
To this add Mustard Seeds, Chana dal, urud dal and Cashew and fry it in low flame for 4min or until it slightly changes its colour.
Step 4
Add hing to it and add the chopped onion, Chillies, garlic and curry leaves and cook it until the onion starts turning translucent.
Step 5
Add salt and 1 tsp of crushed Pepper Jira power and sauté for 2 min.
Step 6
Now add the cooked rice and mix it well
Step 7
Now add 1 more tsp of crushed pepper jira powder to it and mix it well. You can add extra salt if needed.
Step 8
Pepper rice is now ready to be served.
