Step 1
Coat 10 inch cast iron skillet with 1-2 tbsp olive oil. Place in oven and preheat to 425.
Step 2
Whisk together dry ingredients. Separately, whisk together wet ingredients.
Step 3
Stir buttermilk mixture into dry ingredient mixture until just combined.
Step 4
Remove cast iron pan from oven, pour cornbread batter into the pan, and return the pan to the oven.
Step 5
Bake 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
