National CHEESEBURGER Day calls for homemade cheeseburgers with a homemade sauce.

Instructions

Step 1
1. Slice, and prepare all of your burger toppings and sauce.
Step 2
2. In a large nonstick skillet melt butter and toast the cut side of the bun until golden.
Step 3
3. Divide the ground beef into 4-6 equal balls. To that same skillet, Add in 2 balls to the pan, leaving plenty of space around them. Smash them down into thin patties and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
4. Cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes, before flipping.
Step 5
5. Place the cheese on the patties and when it has melted, scrape the burgers out of the pan and continue with the rest.
Step 6
6. Assemble the burgers- bun, sauce, lettuce, 2 patties, tomatoes, onions, pickles, more sauce, bun and devour.
