Instructions

Step 1
Slice the Meat: To make slicing the ribeye easier, freeze it for 30 minutes. Cut paper-thin strips against the grain using a sharp knife.
Step 2
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil: In a pan over medium heat to caramelise the onions and peppers. Cook the peppers and onions for about five minutes, or until they are brown and tender. Take out and put aside.
Step 3
To cook the steak: Reheat the butter and oil in the same skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and add the meat in a single layer. Cook until browned but still juicy, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Step 4
Melt the Cheese: Lower the heat, cover the steak with slices of provolone, and allow to melt. (Optional: For added creaminess, drizzle with Cheez Whiz.)
Step 5
Put the Sandwich Together: Toast the hoagie rolls lightly. Add peppers, onions, and steak. Serve right away!
