Step 1
Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Butter bread and place butter-side down in the pan. Top each bread slice with 1 Tbsp pizza sauce.
Step 3
Layer sliced provolone cheese, pepperoni, parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, another layer of pepperoni, and sliced mozzarella. Top with 1 Tbsp of pizza sauce, then remaining bread, butter side out.
Step 4
Cook 3-4 minutes per side or just until golden. Remove sandwich from pan.
Step 5
Place 3 slices of pepperoni directly in the pan, top with 1 tablespoon shredded mozzarella cheese. Place sandwich on top of cheese and let cook until crisp and crusted (about 1 minute). Serve.
