Instructions

Step 1
Add 1 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp sugar and 1/4 tsp salt to a medium bowl and stir together. (These are your dry ingredients)
Step 2
Add 1 egg, 1 cup milk, 2 tbsp melted butter and 1 tsp vanilla extract in a medium bowl and hand whisk. (These are your wet ingredients)
Step 3
Add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients and hand whisk until combined. (Do not over whisk)
Step 4
Heat up flat pan over medium heat. Add a tsp butter. Once butter is melted, turn to low heat to cook pancakes.
Step 5
Scoop 1/3 cup of pancake batter into the pan. After a couple minutes, bubbles will appear on the pancake surface.
Step 6
Once many bubbles appear, flip over the pancake. Cook for a couple minutes until desired crispness.
Step 7
Serve pancakes with jam, maple syrup, icing sugar, butter or any toppings.
