Instructions

Step 1
Add flour to a large bowl, then add yeast to one side and salt to the opposite side of the flour and mix

Add water to the flour mixture until fully combined
Step 3
Cover bowl with a tea towel and leave to proof in a fairly warm place (e.g. inside an off oven) for at least 3 hours
Step 4
Turn out your dough when risen on a well floured surfaced (strong white flour). Add flour your hands and a bit more flour to the dough to prevent sticky hands

Pull and stretch dough for a few minutes ensuring to get the air out of it and shape into a ball
Step 6
Put it on some grease proof paper cut into a big circle, put the mixing bowl over the top and leave for it second rise for around 20 mins
Step 7
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 210 degrees fan or equivalent and put Dutch oven in to warm (if you do not have any grease proof paper just pre oil Dutch oven)
Step 8
Put baking paper with dough in to the Dutch oven, put lid on and leave to bake for around 45 mins
Step 9
Once bread is cooked carefully remove from Dutch oven and leave to rest on raised baking grate. Do not cut into bread until it has cooled
