Pizza without a Crust

This is one of those dinners that's pure mess and fun, and all it takes are some canned tomatoes and mozzarella, some of the same toppings you might put on a pie, and a focaccia or loaf of italian bread from the market

Instructions

Step 1
Put a large can of good tomatoes into a food processor with a couple glugs of olive oil, some salt, and a clove of garlic. Whiz that up and pour it into a deep saute pan set over medium heat and let it come to a simmer. Slice or tear your mozzarella into pieces.
Step 2
When the sauce is hot, lay the cheese on top of the liquid and slide the pan into a 400F oven to get melty and fine.
Step 3
Serve it in the middle of your table as if it were fondue, alongside some bread and condiments: Olives, say, or anchovies, chopped basil, red pepper flakes, grated parmesan... whatever you like. Dip, eat, and repeat.
