Quick and Easy Avocado Toast with Poached Eggs for a Nutritious Breakfast
Start your day with a filling and tasty meal that blends the protein-rich goodness of poached eggs with the creamy richness of avocado. When you need a quick, nutritious, and filling breakfast, this dish is ideal. Additionally, it's a fantastic method to demonstrate your proficiency with a knife through accurate slicing!
Ingredients:
2 slices of whole-grain bread
1 ripe avocado
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: chili flakes, microgreens, or feta cheese
Tools Required:

Preparation:

Cook for five minutes.
Directions:
Get the avocado spread ready.
Cut the avocado in half using a sharp knife, then scoop out the flesh into a bowl after removing the pit.
Add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper after mashing the avocado with a fork. Put aside.
Toast the Bread:
Two pieces of whole-grain bread should be lightly toasted until golden brown.
Bring a small saucepan of water to a low simmer in order to poach the eggs. To aid in the setting of the egg whites, add a little vinegar.
After cracking an egg in a small bowl, carefully pour it into the water that is simmering. Continue with the second egg.
For the yolk to be ideally runny, cook the eggs for 3–4 minutes. Drain on a paper towel after briefly moving them to a dish of ice water with a slotted spoon.
To assemble the toast:
Generously cover each slice of toasted bread with mashed avocado.
Place a poached egg on top of each piece.
For added taste, you can add optional garnishes like crumbled feta cheese, microgreens, or chilli flakes.
Serve and Savour:
Serve right away with a warm cup of coffee or a side of fresh fruit.
