1 lbboneless skinless chicken thighs
diced

0.5 lbItalian sausage
crumbled

4 cupschicken broth

1 x 14.5 ozcan diced tomatoes
with juices

1 cupwhite beans
drained and rinsed

1onion
small, chopped

3cloves garlic
minced

1 cupcarrots
sliced

1 cupkale
or spinach, chopped

1 tspdried basil

1 tspdried oregano

½ tspred pepper flakes
optional

½ cupheavy cream
or 1 cup milk, for creaminess

¼ cupParmesan cheese
grated, for serving
Instructions
Step 1
Brown the Italian sausage in a skillet, then drain excess fat and transfer to the slow cooker.
Step 2
Add chicken, broth, tomatoes, beans, onion, garlic, carrots, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
Step 3
Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
Step 4
Stir in kale and heavy cream, cooking for another 15 minutes until kale is wilted.
Step 5
Serve with Parmesan cheese and crusty bread.
