Air Fryer Roast Beef

4 steps
Prep:10minCook:34min
This super simple air fryer roast beef recipe is a firm favourite Sunday lunch in my family! It is so tender and juicy, with a beautifully caramelised crust. And this dish needs minimal effort to make, especially when using the air fryer.

Instructions

Step 1
start by taking the beef joint out of the fridge and bring it to room temperature.
Step 2
Then take a small bowl and mix together the vegetable oil, oxo stock cube, and mustard powder with a teaspoon of salt and pepper. Pre heat the air fryer to 220C and rub the beef all over with the mix. Next wrap the beef in some tin foil, then put the meat into the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 170C, and remove the tin foil. Then cook for a further 30 to 40 minutes. Choose thirty minutes if you like your beef medium to rare and 40 minutes if you prefer your beef medium to well done.
Step 3
If you have a meat thermometer then the internal temperature should be 48 to 52C for rare, 55 to 59C for medium rare, 60 to 66C for medium and 67 to 71C for well done. Then carefully remove your beef joint from the air fryer drawer and transfer to a board. Cover the meat loosely with tin foil and leave to rest for up to 30 minutes before carving and serving.
Step 4
Finally, serve your roast beef with a dollop of English mustard, instant beef gravy and your favourite side dishes.
