Instructions

Step 1
Peel the apples
Step 2
Cut the apples into slices.
Step 3
Remove the center from each slice, then place the apple slices on a puff pastry sheet.

Use a small bowl to cut rounds around the apple.
Step 5
Cut other circles of the same size and place them on top
Step 6
Cut out the center of the puff pastry
Step 7
Close the outside edges with a fork.
Step 8
Place on a baking tray. Brush each slice with beaten egg yolk.
Step 9
Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C/356°F
Step 10
Sprinkle with powdered sugar to serve
