Red Beans & Rice

Instructions

Step 1
Add rice and water to a pot. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat until ready to serve (minimum of 15 minutes)
Step 2
Wash and dry all product. Finely chop onion and green pepper (make sure no pepper seeds get in). Chop kiabolsa into bite sized pieces. Drain red beans.
Step 3
Heat butter in large pan over medium-high heat. Brown sausage, onion and green pepper once heated (5-7 minutes)
Step 4
Add all spices, red beans and tomatoes to pan. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally
Step 5
Remove from heat and serve over cooked rice
