SOOJI PUDLA (kid friendly)

Recipe below + comment “ME” for links to everything you see in this reel (like my fave cast iron skillet & spatula)! & hit SAVE for another kid-approved recipe to add to your rotation: SOOJI PUDLA (kid friendly): Feel free to switch up the veggies but be sure everything is very finely chopped. I also occasionally add grated paneer or tofu in this recipe to increase the protein! POODLA: 1 cup coarse sooji 1/3 cup whole milk greek yogurt 4 cloves garlic, grated 1 cup grated mix of broccoli & carrot 1/2 small onion, very finely chopped 1 tsp salt 1 cup water (plus more as needed) Pinch of hing Handful finely chopped spinach or cilantro Mix all of the ingredients together and stir well. Note that if the batter sits for long it ewill astart to absorb some of the water. Simply add 1-2 tbsp of water at a time and mix to get it to the proper consistency! On a cast iron or non stick skillet over medium heat add a little oil - spread it evenly and then add a couple spoonfuls of batter. Use the back of a spoon to gently tap the mixture into a small 4-5 inch round shape until it is even in thickness. As the bottom of the mixture cooks and sticks to the pan it will be easier to move some of the batter around so be patient and gentle! Wait a few minutes until the underside of the pudla gets golden , then flip and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes. Use the video above for reference ! Remove from heat and serve on its own or with something to dip into! Hope your littles love this! . . . . . . . .
