Instructions
Step 1
3 baking trays greased with butter
Step 2
Preheat oven to 170 degrees C
Step 3
Gently melt butter and golden syrup in pan and set aside to cool.
Step 4
Sift flour, ground ginger, bicarbonate of soda and sugar into mixing bowl.
Step 5
Add butter/golden syrup, beaten egg and stem ginger and mix with wooden spoon until completely combined
Step 6
Divide in 24 small balls (I weighed each biscuit so they were all roughly the same).
Step 7
Space them quite far apart on baking tray and put in preheated oven for 15-20 mins
Step 8
Leave to cool completely on wire rack.
