Slow Cooker Italian Sausage Tortellini with Spinach & Parmesan

Instructions

Step 1
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully done. Drain the grease.
Step 2
In the slow cooker, combine the sausage, pasta sauce, cream cheese, water, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir everything together.
Step 3
Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours. Around the 2.5-hour mark, stir well to help melt the cream cheese.
Step 4
Add the frozen tortellini and spinach during the last 30–45 minutes of cook time. Stir occasionally.
Step 5
Once the tortellini is tender and the sauce is creamy and well combined, stir in the parmesan cheese.
Step 6
Serve hot, topped with extra parmesan if desired. Add garlic bread or a green salad on the side for a complete meal.
