Instructions

Step 1
Simple Chicken Fry Recipe Here is the step-by-step recipe for the chicken dish you described. Step 1: Marinate the Chicken * Take the chicken and wash it thoroughly. * In a bowl, add the chicken, lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder, a teaspoon of chili powder, and ginger-garlic paste. * Mix everything together well, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated. * Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for 40 minutes to 1 hour. Step 2: Prepare the Vegetables * Finely chop 1.5 to 2 onions. * Finely chop 3 green chilies. * Keep them aside. Step 3: Cook the Chicken * After the chicken has marinated, heat some oil in a pan. * Add the marinated chicken directly into the hot oil. * Stir it continuously for about 5 to 6 minutes, until all the water from the chicken evaporates. * You'll know the chicken is cooked when a piece breaks apart easily when you touch it. * Once cooked, remove only the chicken pieces from the pan and set them aside on a separate plate. Leave the oil and juices in the pan. Step 4: Prepare the Masala and Finish the Dish * In the same pan with the remaining oil, add the chopped onions and green chilies. * Sauté for about one minute. * Next, add coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and a little more chili powder to your taste. * (Optional) You can also add a few curry leaves at this stage for extra flavor. * Mix all the spices well and cook until the onions turn a nice golden-brown color. * Add the cooked chicken pieces back into the pan. * Stir everything together well, making sure the chicken is fully coated with the masala. Continue to cook until the dish gets a good color. * Finally, you can garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
