Instructions

Step 1
Boil a kettle.
Step 2
Heat a large, wide-based pan with a drizzle of vegetable oil over high heat.
Step 3
Once hot, add diced chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until beginning to brown.
Step 4
While the chicken is browning, add orzo to a pot of boiled water and bring to the boil over a high heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes. Once done, reserve 50ml of starchy pasta water.
Step 5
Once the chicken has slightly browned, add chopped pepper and grated garlic; cook for 4 minutes until softened and chicken is cooked through.
Step 6
Stir through drained orzo, crème fraîche, and chicken stock mix.
Step 7
Add jerk paste with reserved pasta water and a pinch of salt; mix well.
Step 8
Serve and grate cheddar cheese Nd a generous grief of pepper on top.
