Instructions
Step 1
Whisk together sugar and cocoa, pour over coffee and whisk.
Step 2
Add oil, vinegar, flour, baking soda and salt and stir to combine.
Step 3
Pour into a greased and lined tin and bake at 170 degrees Celsius for around 40 minutes, until a skewer when inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Step 4
For the syrup: combine ½ cup sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa and ½ cup water, bring to a simmer and pour over the baked cake.
