Ingredients
4 servings
1 boxheart shaped pasta
2 tablespoonsolive oil
0.5white onion
minced, teeny tiny pieces
½ teaspoongarlic powder
red pepper flakes
optional
½ teaspoonsalt
plus more as needed
¼ teaspoonblack pepper
plus more as needed
1 x 14 ozcan crushed tomatoes
½ cupheavy cream
4 ozparmesan cheese
block, half in the sauce, half for topping
Basil
to top, optional
1 boxpasta
Instructions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add a generous amount of salt. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, according to the BOX instructions.
Step 2
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 3
3. Add minced onion to the skillet and saute for a few minutes. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes to the skillet.

4. Carefully pour in the crushed tomatoes.
Step 5
5. Bring to a simmer and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
Step 6
6. Reduce heat to low and stir in the cream. Add half of your parmesan cheese. Stir until melted
Step 7
7. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Toss gently to combine. Top with the rest of your parmesan cheese grated on top and basil ribbons if desired.
