Step 1
BOIL Toor dal 2 cups in water with 4 tomatoes roughly chopped and 7to 10 dry Chilies boil i t well till the dal is soft and lastly add seedless tamarind in a size of small lemon .THEN add salt according to taste and mash it till semi gravy .keep it side ..and take another pot heat it with2-3 TB spoons of oil add mustard seeds and curry leaves ad the onions .cook till the onions turn translucent and pour the mashed dal and add water according to your likely consistency and cook it for 15 min in high flame .ho hot dal is done.
