Instructions

Step 1
Scald milk and add 5 tbsp sugar salt. Cool to lukewarm
Step 2
Add yeast to water
Step 3
Add yeast & water to lukewarm milk
Step 4
Add 3 cups flour and beat till perfectly smooth
Step 5
Add melted shortening and reamining flour to form an easy to handle dough
Step 6
Knead well and place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise till doubled in warm place
Step 7
Cut off pieces about egg sized and roll out lengthwise
Step 8
Dip strips in seperate bowls of metled butter and sugar/cinnamon mixtures. Lay out side by side on greased cookie sheet
Step 9
Let rise again. Preheat oven to 350
Step 10
Bake for 20 minutes
