Boil the black channa and potatoes in plain water until soft.
Remove the channa and potatoes from the water. Peel the potatoes.
Mash the potatoes well and keep aside.
Grind the boiled black channa in a mixer with a little water to make a coarse paste.
Combine the channa paste and mashed potatoes in a bowl.
Add a little besan, along with salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, and turmeric powder. Mix everything well to form a dough-like mixture.
Shape into patties — or simply drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a pan.
Shallow fry in a pan with a little oil until golden and cooked on both sides.
Serve hot — enjoy!
