To Make It Paleo/Dairy-Free
Swap cream cheese for dairy-free cream cheese (Kite Hill makes a good one) or full-fat coconut cream. Use nutritional yeast instead of cheddar, or skip the cheese topping entirely and just enjoy the creamy ranch sauce with bacon.

Over steamed broccoli or zucchini noodles
As a dip with veggies
Homemade Ranch Seasoning (avoids fillers/sugars)
Mix: 1 tsp dried parsley, 1 tsp dried dill, 1 tsp dried chives, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions
Step 1
Place chicken in the bottom of slow cooker
Step 2
Sprinkle ranch seasoning over chicken
Step 3
Top with cubed cream cheese (and butter if using)
Step 4
Cover and cook on LOW 6-8 hours or HIGH 3-4 hours
Step 5
Shred chicken with two forks and stir into the creamy sauce
Step 6
Top with shredded cheddar and crumbled bacon
Step 7
Cover for 5-10 more minutes until cheese melts
Step 8
Garnish with green onions
