Instructions

Step 1
Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Step 2
Heat oil and butter in a large skillet. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side. Remove.
Step 3
In the same skillet, cook onion and mushrooms 6–8 minutes.
Step 4
Add garlic and thyme; cook 30 seconds.
Step 5
Pour in broth and simmer 2–3 minutes.
Step 6
Stir in cream cheese (or sour cream) until smooth.
Step 7
Return chicken to skillet, cover, and simmer 10–15 minutes until cooked through.
