Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the couscous according to the package instructions (usually by adding boiling water, letting it sit covered, then fluffing with a fork).
Step 2
Fry the bacon in a pan until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan (keep a little of the bacon fat):

Sauté the leek first.
Step 5
Add the carrot (cut into small cubes or thin slices).
Step 6
Then add bell pepper, zucchini, and small broccoli florets.
Step 7
Cook until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.
Step 8
Make a simple “sauce”:

Pour in 100 ml milk., cheese and crème fraîche.
Step 10
Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
Step 11
Season with salt, pepper, and optionally garlic or paprika powder.
Step 12
Stir the couscous and bacon into the vegetable mixture.
Step 13
Let everything heat through – then serve!
