Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter in saucepan (but do not let it burn otherwise flavour will be spoilt)
Step 2
Add flour, blend with the butter and cook for 1 minute
Step 3
Gradually add the milk, stirring continuously until all the milk is added
Step 4
Bring to the boil, reduce heat and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously
Step 5
Season with salt and pepper
