Step 1
In a skillet, cook the pancetta.
Step 2
Add olive oil and saute chopped garlic.
Step 3
Add the cans of beans and chicken stock and let simmer for several minutes to soften the beans.
Step 4
Use a potato masher or large fork and smash some, but not all, of the beans in the skillet. The idea is for a rustic texture.
Step 5
Stir in the heavy cream and taste for seasoning. Simmer for just a few minutes to let the cream marry. Serve with crusty bread.
