Instructions
Step 1
Rinse rice and add to a pot with water. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and leave covered for another 10 minutes.
Step 2
While the rice is cooking, cut the broccoli into smaller pieces, about the same size as the ground beef.
Step 3
Add the ground beef to a pan and cook until no pink remains. Add garlic and broccoli, cook for another 2 minutes. Then add soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef stock.
Step 4
In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and some water. Then slowly add the cornstarch slurry to the beef. When fully combined, allow to cook for another couple of minutes. Remove from heat.
