Soy Beef and Noodles 🥢
17 steps
Prep:15minCook:1h
Okay this is such a good comfort meal. The beef gets cooked in the Instant Pot until it’s literally falling apart like pulled pork, then you shred it up and put it over egg noodles with all that sweet, salty, garlicky soy sauce. Sesame seeds on top are a must.. This is one of Nicks favorites!

Instructions
Step 1
Cut the chuck roast into 3–4 big chunks and season it with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Turn the Instant Pot to Sauté, add the olive oil and get it HOT.
Step 3
Brown the beef on all sides. Don’t worry about cooking it through — we’re just getting some good color on the outside.
Step 4
Take the beef out for a second.
Step 5
Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Then pour in a little of the beef broth and scrape everything off the bottom of the pot. All those browned pieces are FLAVOR and this also keeps the Instant Pot from giving you that annoying burn warning lol.
Step 6
Add the rest of the broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder and red pepper flakes. Stir it together.
Step 7
Put your beef back in and spoon some of the sauce over the top.
Step 8
Put the lid on, seal it and cook on HIGH PRESSURE for 60 minutes.
Step 9
Let it naturally release for about 15 minutes, then release whatever pressure is left.
Step 10
Take the beef out and shred it with two forks. It should basically just fall apart at this point.
Step 11
Turn the Instant Pot back to Sauté and let that sauce bubble for a few minutes to thicken up a little. Add the shredded beef back in and mix it ALL through that sauce.
Step 12
Now the noodles:
Step 13
Boil the egg noodles according to the package directions and drain them.
Step 14
I like to toss them with a little butter because obviously lol.
Step 15
Put a big pile of egg noodles in your bowl and spoon that super tender shredded soy beef AND plenty of the sauce right over the top.
Step 16
Finish it with a bunch of sesame seeds and green onions if you have them.
Step 17
That’s it!! The beef is tender, the noodles soak up all that sweet and salty sauce, and it tastes like something that took way more effort than throwing everything into the Instant Pot.
