Step 1
Mix mince egg 1 finely chopped or blitzed onion, bread crumbs , salt, pepper and parsley until you have it all combined.
Step 2
In a large pan put 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a knob of butter. Using the prepared palm sized meatballs cook gently on all sides say 6 at a time until they are nice and brown probably 5 minutes per 6 then set aside.
Step 3
In a separate deep pan make the gravy. Use the second finely chopped onion and chopped mushrooms add to the pan and now add the flour to cost gently cook for 5 to 10 mins with olive oil, knob of butter, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and tomato puree now add 480ml beef stock and gently simmer for roughly 20 or so mins you will know when it is ready. Now transfer the meatballs into the gravy and simmer for a good 40 minutes. I left mine for longer.
